Quick Breads

Cheese Crescents

• 2 Cups Flour

• 3 tsp Baking Powder

• 1 tsp Salt

• 1 Cup Shredded American (or Cheddar) Cheese

• 1/3 Cup Salad (vegetable) Oil

• 2/3 Cup Milk

Measure Dry Ingredients into bowl.  Measure Oil and Milk; pour all at once into flour.  Stir until mixture forms a ball.  Knead dough about 10 times.  Roll into circle 1/2 inch thick between 2 sheets of wax paper.  Cut into 2 wedges.  Roll up beginning at wide edge.  Bake at 425 on ungreased cookie pan, 12-15 minutes.

 

Kona Inn Banana Bread (Thorson Family Recipe)

Cream together:
1 Cup Butter
2 Cups Sugar (at least ½ brown sugar)
4 Eggs

Add:
6 Ripe bananas
Add and Mix:
2 ½ Cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla

Optional:
1 Cup Walnuts
1 Cup coconut
Raisins

Bake at 350°F 45-50 minutes or until inserted knife no longer comes out gooey.
